Early Neurological stimulation (ENS) ENS are simple exercises to which you expose puppies from days 3-16 to help aid their development, resilience and coping mechanisms.
These early puppy stimulation exercises don’t take long to perform but can pay off huge dividends in the long run.
- Boost brain development
- Improves circulation and immune system
- Stimulates the neurological system
- Improves stress responses in later life
- Encourages a daily physical check of each puppy
ENS requires handling the puppies one at a time while performing a series of five exercises.
- Tactical stimulation (tickling) of the paw pads with a q-tip
- Holding puppy's head up for 3-5 seconds
- Holding puppy's head gently down for 3-5 seconds
- Hold puppy on their back for 3-5 seconds
- Put puppy paws down on a cool towel for 3-5 seconds
